"Beautiful guesthouse at the best restaurant in Oudtshoorn..."

Welcome to Jemima's Restaurant

Ok, I am officially convinced Oudtshoorn is not just about the ostriches, Cango Caves and Cheetah farm. It is about the ostriches, Cango Caves, Cheetah farm and a whole lot of good restaurants, You, will be more than pleasantly surprised by not only the quality, but also the quantity of very good restaurants in this area. It is a beautiful Karoo town, with amazing hidden gems, lots of personality and something on offer for every palate.

We are one of these…

Showcasing iconic South African ingredients Jemima’s is a celebration of flavours served with flair. The menu includes the likes of duck liver parfait, Klein Karoo caprese salad, Karoo lamb, duck, ostrich fan fillet, venison and not to forget our mouth watering desserts.   We enjoy entertaining our visitors and by doing it together we share a special bond with each and every one at Jemima’s. We always take photographs and we would like to share them with you. Who knows, you may be in our gallery. Please take a look as we add photographs daily.

"Jemima, ethereal Jemima, whose protective wings embrace all lesser mortals. A guardian angel of love, good taste and good cooking, who conjures poetry and figs, pomegranates, stewed quinces and sweet potatoes. Shy Jemima, in the late hours of evening amid warm conversation and joyous laughter she may be tempted to reveal her presence?" - Chris Barnard

"We may live without poetry, music and art
We may live without conscience, without heart
We may live without friends, we may live without books
But civilised man cannot live without cooks.
He may live without books – what is knowledge but grieving?
He may live without hope – what is hope without deceiving?
He may live without love – what is passion but pining?
But where is the man that can live without dining" - Lord Lytton
